DESCRIPTION:3rd Annual Harlingen Triathlon Festival \nCOURSES:\nShort Course – 400 meter swim\, 12 mile bike\, 3 mile run\nThis is a Sprint distance. Great for beginners & intermediate athletes who wants to go for speed or simply challenge the distance. \nLong Course – 800 meter swim\, 24 mile bike\, 6 mile run\nThis distance is almost an Olympic with the exception of the swim. This distance is great for any athlete looking for the full challenge. Cut-off time for Long course is 11:30am. \n“TRy” Challenge – 200 meter swim\, 6 mile bike\, 1 mile run\nThis distance is for new athletes or beginners who wants to “try” the sports and go for the challenge. \nRACE DAY SCHEDULE\n05:30 AM – Transition Opens\n06:30 AM – Transition Closes\n07:00 AM – Long Course Individual\n07:00 AM – Long Course RELAY\n07:00 AM – Short Course Individual\n07:00 AM – Short Course RELAY\n07:00 AM – “TRy” Challenge Individual\nLong course followed by Short course and then “Try” Challenge\nStart times based on reported swim pace per 100 meters as noted in registration \nDue to venue restrictions\, registration will be limited: \nTHIS IS A USAT SANCTIONED EVENT.\n– You must be 15 y/o by race date.\n– Athlete must be present to pick up their packet.
