South Padre Island lies on the southernmost tip of Texas and is situated on the south end of Padre Island, the longest Barrier Island in the world and the largest stretch of undeveloped ocean beach in North America. Surfing
South Texas may not be recognized as a surfing destination but we have all the conditions a surfer could ask for and a long history of the sport here. There are surfing instructions available for those wanting to learn as well as the annual Texas State Surfing Championships for the competitive surfer.
Beach Park At Isla Blanca
Beach Park At Isla Blanca located on beautiful South Padre Island is known for their signature landmark Sand Castle and offers interconnecting water rides and slides, thrilling uphill coasters, a man-made surfing wave, a zip line soaring 100 feet high, and direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. The park is open April through September.
